MEET THE AUTHORS

One of the key aims of the Oxford Indie Book Fair is to support and give a platform for independent authors and professionals to reach the audience that they need to be successful.

Meeting people at the fairs is of course a huge opportunity to show off their talents, but that’s only two days out of the whole year.

Here, we’re presenting a lasting record of what it means to THEM to be a part of something HUGE – the growing REVOLUTION in publishing that is the rise of the independent author.

So often, you’ll see a piece advertising a book or a service and just as often those adverts just roll on by. So what we’re doing here is giving the exhibitors who make the book fair such a success a chance to tell everyone the story behind the stories. What makes them tick, what motivates and drives them to create books that fascinate, inform and delight so many people.

We’ll be releasing at least one new author story EVERY FRIDAY AT 6PM in the run-up to the summer book fair on Sunday 13 July, so do come back here to see who’s up next.

  • A New Zealand and international Veteran news journalist with 18 million words under his belt, Paul Campbell tells the story of his extensive writing career and life.

  • Colin’s honest, anarchic, humorous and brutally honest novel ‘flid’ about disabilities wasn’t written for the usual reasons – find out why.

  • Tony Dwyer writes enchanting tales for children and the children in all of us. Step with him into his magical world…

  • Are Lockdown Writers a new breed of authors? Nichola’s one and her writing reflects on her own school days in the hope that it will help and illuminate young readers.
