Hi Exhibitors!
Only TWO more Fridays until the big day.
Hope you're all prepared for it.
Here's a quick checklist to help you on the way:
- Have you got your books? Most POD printing takes just under a week, but it's always a good idea to order least two weeks in advance just in case there's a problem.
- Did you do a TRIAL setup? Mark out a space on the floor or a big dining table if you have one and practise setting up how you want your table to be. Think about how it will look from the front, try to avoid putting things right on the edges where they can be knocked off by bags etc.
- Take a photo of your final setup for the day. It makes setup a LOT faster!
- Check your card reader. I find a charge on mine lasts all day, but make sure it's charged and maybe bring a power bank in case you run low. If you've got more than one book check that the prices are set up properly in your APP. Are you selling at a special show price?
- Designed and printed all your promo materials? Standees, business cards, bookmarks, leaflets. There's still time to get those all sorted.
- PARKING! Oxford is a JOY to park in… okay, that's a lie. The parking at the event is pre-booked only and there is space at the venue at the front for unloading if you're quick. But check out where you're going to park afterwards if you need to in order to save panic. Details on the exhibitor centre page…
- Which brings me to READ THE EXHIBITOR CENTRE PAGE (big friendly button below). All the up to date info is on there and it can change at any time.
- While you're on the website, make sure your profile text is all up to date and looking good.
- Log in NOW to your social media and start posting about the Book Fair. The more people tweeting and posting on Facebook the better our paid marketing will perform. Like and share what you see. Tag us (@OxIndieBookFair) and we'll like, follow and share back.
- If you see the EVENT posts then tag yourself as GOING. It'll create more interest.

Setup time begins at 09:30. There's plenty of time to set up so don’t try to get in before that as we'll still be putting finishing touches to the venue and laying out your exhibitor badges.
