Are you ready?

This is probably the last shout out until the Bookfair THIS SUNDAY - blimey, it's come around quickly.
Of course everyone has read everything on the exhibitor centre page haven't they… (click the big, friendly button below to get the latest).

A couple of updates.

IT'S GOING TO BE HOT!

Unless you've been living under a lovely, cool shady rock you'll know that it's going to be in the 30s on Sunday. Not quite 451 Fahrenheit, thankfully (see what I did there!), but it's going to be plenty toasty.
The venue DOES NOT have any drinks making facilities and does not sell or provide water. There's no evidence to suggest that the water in the bathrooms is potable so best to assume not.
Please do the sensible thing and bring plenty of drinks with you. There's a Sainsbury's on the roundabout just outside the venue, the festival bar across the river and all kinds of places in Oxford to keep you hydrated and happy.
We don't have any control over the venue, but we’ll make sure that everything possible can be done to keep a nice airflow through the building.
Take it easy out there and look out for one another!

STAFF AND SETUP

Due to venue staff shortages, we may not have the usual helpers to assist with setup and breakdown, but thankfully the building is a lot more accessible than the Examination Schools.
The loading and unloading areas are quite limited and there is no parking on site for exhibitors other than what has already been arranged. There's some parking advice on the exhibitor centre page.
Do please be patient with one another while loading and unloading, especially in the heat.

You'll have a table card and lanyard on your table when you get there to help you find your place and help visitors identify yourself. It would help if you left the lanyards behind at the end so that we can recycle them for the next event.

WIFI

The venue has WiFi but we're told it's not super-strength.
You can connect your EPOS systems to it using the following credentials:

SSID: MCS-Conference
Password: Oxford Book Fair

I've not been able to confirm this, so if it turns out to be different maybe share the info with your neighbour (I'd guess that if the password doesn't work, then try without spaces, no caps etc)

Please just connect to it if you need to. You can create WiFi hotspots for your devices from your phone if you need to.

TIMES

The venue is open for setup at 09:30
Open to the public at 11:00
Event ends at 16:30 Please refrain from packing up until that time unless you have to as it's a little off-putting for anyone still selling and nobody wants to be in a mad rush to vacate at the end.

We'll do a group photo a little before opening - listen out for a yell. The photographer will be up on the stage, so gather in tight and hold up a book or two for the photo.
